Fezerli app · Mac and Windows · part of Pro and Team

Autopilot that keeps going while you do other things.

The app opens its own Chrome window for Autopilot. Cover it, lock the screen, let the display sleep. It keeps commenting as long as your computer is on.

Mac

Your computer

macOS 11 or newer · Intel and Apple silicon

  1. Open Terminal: ⌘ Space, type Terminal, Return
  2. Paste and run: ⌘ V, then Return

Fezerli lands in Applications and opens, with no security prompts.

The command: curl -fsSL https://fezerli.com/install.sh | sh

Or download the .zip

Windows

Your computer

Windows 10 or 11 · 64 bit

  1. Open PowerShell: Win X, then Terminal or Windows PowerShell
  2. Paste and run: Ctrl V, then Enter

Fezerli lands in its own folder, on the Desktop and in the Start menu, and opens. No SmartScreen prompt.

The command: irm https://fezerli.com/install.ps1 | iex

Or download the .exe

No install

Prefer not to install anything?

Technically it's an app. In fact it's a launcher that opens your own Google Chrome in a separate window with the right settings, so Autopilot keeps working when you leave the page. You can get the same effect with these settings. Then keep the computer from sleeping in its energy settings, and quit that Chrome with Cmd Q on a Mac or by closing its window on Windows.

Mac: one Terminal line, each time

open -na "Google Chrome" --args --user-data-dir="$HOME/Library/Application Support/Fezerli/Chrome" --no-first-run --no-default-browser-check --disable-background-timer-throttling --disable-renderer-backgrounding --disable-backgrounding-occluded-windows "https://www.linkedin.com/feed/?fezerli_app=1"

Windows: a Chrome shortcut with flags, once

  1. Right click the Chrome shortcut, Create shortcut, name the copy Fezerli
  2. Right click the copy, Properties, and add this at the end of Target, after the closing quote

--user-data-dir="%LOCALAPPDATA%\Fezerli\Chrome" --no-first-run --no-default-browser-check --disable-background-timer-throttling --disable-renderer-backgrounding --disable-backgrounding-occluded-windows --disable-features=CalculateNativeWinOcclusion "https://www.linkedin.com/feed/?fezerli_app=1"

Open LinkedIn in that Chrome, add the Fezerli extension there and allow its sign-in from this Chrome, the same as with the app. Fezerli updates itself from the Chrome Web Store there too. Only the app's small extras are missing: an icon to click and quitting on the last window.

Two minutes, once

Set it up, then forget it.

  1. 01

    Open the app

It opens a Chrome window of its own, next to your everyday Chrome. Google Chrome must be installed.

  2. 02

    Set up that window

Sign in to LinkedIn there and add the Fezerli extension. Got here from the Fezerli popup? When this window asks to join your Pro account, allow it in your everyday Chrome: the Fezerli popup there shows an Allow button. No email code.

  3. 03

    Start Autopilot and walk away

Open Fezerli in that window, Autopilot tab, press play. It says "Running in the Fezerli app".

Two things to know

  • Covering the window is fine. Minimizing it stops the feed, so Fezerli brings it back.
  • The app comes first. While its Autopilot runs, your everyday Chrome shows a warning on LinkedIn and its own Autopilot waits.
macOS says Fezerli can't be opened

That happens with the .zip, because the app is not notarized by Apple yet. Open System Settings, Privacy and Security, scroll down and click Open Anyway next to Fezerli. The one command install above skips this.

Chrome blocked the download

Chrome is careful with apps it has not seen often. Open the downloads list in Chrome and choose Keep. The one command install above avoids it on both Mac and Windows.

Windows shows "Windows protected your PC"

That happens with the .exe downloaded in the browser, because the app is not code signed yet. Click More info, then Run anyway. The one command install above skips this.

Who can use the app?

The app is part of Pro and Team. Anyone can download it, but Autopilot runs in it only on those plans.
